Who we are

Assisi International School is a bilingual Montessori School that offers continuous education from the Spring Section to Lower Secondary School. The project started in 2009 from the ten-year experience of the Patrizio Paoletti Foundation, Institute of Neuroscientific and Psycho-pedagogical research, which aims to develop and offer educational and didactic tools for the full development of children’s and adults’ potential. Our teacher training is permanent, the caretaking and improvement of the environment is constant and the teaching methods are continuously updated to reach the true objective of the school: promote the best part of each student to prepare them for the continuous and rapid changes of our modern world.

Teaching

Assisi International School welcomes children from 24 months to 14 years. We offer an innovative, complete and enhanced educational path that includes: the Spring Section (24-36 months), Pre-school (3-6 years), Primary School (6-11 years) and Lower Secondary School (11-14 years).

Our strengths are the state of the art education, teaching of the English language from a young age, continued training of teachers and the wide range of extracurricular activities.

Our state of the art teaching unites the Montessori Method with the “Pedagogy for the third millennium”, the educational method created by Patrizio Paoletti and developed by the Foundation’s pedagogical team, with the aim to respond to the educational needs of our time and anticipate the ones of the future.

Cambridge Assessment

Assisi International School is amongst the first schools in Italy to choose the Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum for the primary and lower secondary school students. It is a global network of 1,300 schools and 110 countries, an innovative and globally recognized  curriculum synonymous with excellence.

The system of evaluation that we use is the Cambridge Assessment Method, which calls for two exams (Checkpoint Test). All students can also prepare for the exam A2 Key – Cambridge English Qualification, which certifies the knowledge of the English language at the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).

Patrizio Paoletti Foundation

The Patrizio Paoletti Foundation is a non-profit research institute that started in Assisi in 2000 thanks to the will of Patrizio Paoletti and a group of researchers, pedagogists, psychologists, sociologists, doctors and entrepreneurs. The foundation realizes its own research programs and pedagogical projects thanks to the support of more than 10,000 people to reach a single objective: allow each person to enter into contact with their own immense potential.

For more than 20 years they have been studying the functioning of the human being with interdisciplinary research: neuroscientific, psychological, educational, didactic and social. The results of the research together with the most updated knowledge on human functioning, is immediately translated to the educational and didactic field, to promote the best skills in children and adults.
